2 Hour Duration
The work Promenade was a two -hour performance, were Conway wired a bus shelter along the Clontarf seafront of Dublin city with pickups connected to effect units and an amplifier. He generated sounds by rubbed and sliding his hands a long the glass, creating loops which he mixed live. Allowing them to intertwin with the natural sounds of the walkway.
This work was done with several other artists along the promenade, he chose to work with the bus shelter. Seeing its potential as an instrument which would allow him to generate sounds. These sounds he could manipulate into an ambient soundscape with the already existing natural sounds for the passersby to enjoy.
